Computer Based Training (CBT)
Yale Enforcement Services Computer Based Training (CBT) was developed and is continuously enhanced with new courses for the benefit of our security officers, supervisors, and managers. All of our employees have the ability to log onto the system 24 hours per day, seven days per week to gain access to a wide range of professional development curriculum - including web-based training courses and video training courses.
Prior to logging in the first time, make sure your system meets the following software requirements:
- Web Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0.29 or higher/FireFox 2.0.0.1 or higher/Safari (Macintosh)
- Flash Plug-in: Version 7 or higher
Finally, make sure all pop-up blockers (commonly found in web browsers and anti-virus programs) are disabled.
To access the CBT simply enter your user name and password in the spaces provided. (Note: Your user name and password were provided in your Welcome Letter.). Once you have entered the data, please click the "Submit" button. When you log into the site, you will be presented with a list of continuing education courses. To access a course, simply click on the course title.
Once you click on the course title, the course will open on your screen in a new window. Make sure you have your sound turned on; and make sure that you have deactivated any pop-up blockers. Now you are ready to go!
