Background Investigation/Licensing
Depending on the individual states licensing requirements, Yale Enforcement Services, Inc.s security personnel may be fingerprinted, screened, and subjected to a criminal background investigation prior to the issuance of their security officer licensure. A mandatory FBI background check and a state background check are conducted on all applicants before a license can be issued. In states where no licensing requirements exist, Yale Enforcement Services, Inc. conducts a criminal records check in all counties in which the employee has resided during the past five years. The state licensing entity on Private Security is contacted to determine the license status of each individual. Our Human Resources Department conducts a five year background investigation, which involves the verification of personal and employment references. Contact is made with formal education providers, and employee social security numbers are verified.
Behavior Testing
Because evaluating potential security officers performance can be challenging, Yale has enhanced our assessment program by developing and adding several behavior and integrity assessments. These assessments can provide information about basic and easily recognizable personal characteristics that may impact a security officers ability to successfully perform the tasks to which they will be assigned. They can assist in defining the types of work environments and activities in which an individual might find the most satisfaction and productivity.
Yale Enforcement Services, Inc. also provides pre-employment testing and integrity evaluations that can determine if a potential employee has a tendency toward counterproductive behavior in job performance due to violence, dishonesty, workers compensation fraud, theft, drug use and overall dependability.
